News Release
IAI to Unveil New Technologies and Defense Systems at the Singapore Air Show 2020: The Heron MK II UAV, The WASP, an EO/IR System providing Wide-Area Capture, and STARLIGHT, a cloud-based Multi-INT Analysis Platform

IAI to hold three sessions open to the media during the show, one to introduce the Heron MK II UAV, and an additional session on IAI’s advanced naval air defense solutions and IAI’s advanced intelligence solutions

January 28, 2020- Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will display a range of advanced systems at the upcoming Singapore Air Show on February 11th-16th. IAI provides holistic solutions in the fields of air, space, sea, land, and cyberspace. At the Singapore Airshow IAI will showcase our holistic defense, attack, and intelligence gathering solutions. IAI's exhibition will include a variety of new systems targeted at the Asia-Pacific and global markets. Systems on display at IAI’s booth and external display will include mission aircraft, UAVs, aerial defense systems, IAI’s advanced maritime solutions, precision ammunition systems, loitering missile systems, and a range of radar, electro-optical, and electronic warfare sensors.

One of the highlights of IAI’s exhibition will be the Heron MK II Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), an enhanced version of IAI’s flagship Heron UAV, which is used by the Israeli Air Force and by over 20 operational users worldwide. The HERON MK II is a strategic and versatile aircraft capable of carrying diverse payloads. IAI will also be unveiling the WASP, a lightweight electro-optical system, which provides a wide area picture with Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) technology. IAI’s WASP provides high-resolution visual imagery and continuous day and night capturing of broad areas. WASP can be positioned on UAVs, airplanes, and helicopters.
IAI will also present STARLIGHT, a new generation cloud-based Multi-INT Analysis Platform designed to support commanders, warfighters, and analysts in innovative decision making. The STARLIGHT Open Architecture platform transforms vast amounts of unstructured data gathered from distributed multi-disciplinary ISR sensors into actionable intelligence. Based on advanced machine learning algorithms, smart BI Tools, and effective man-machine teaming, STARLIGHT’s operational application suite augments situational understanding, big data analytics, optimizes ISR Cycles, detects patterns and anomalies, and provides mission-critical alerts and predictions regarding time-sensitive targets, threats, and events.
The times and locations of the IAI press conferences at the Singapore Air Show will follow the schedule below:
• An overview of the new Heron MK-II MALE UAV and the HERON family will take place on February 11, at 16:00, at the IAI Chalet, located at Static Display area CD03. The briefing will be provided by Mr. Moshe Levy, IAI EVP and GM of the Military Aircraft group.
• A brief on IAI’s naval and ground Air Defense capabilities and the Barak MX System will take place on February 12, at 10:00, at the IAI Booth, located at N41. The briefing will be provided by Mr. Boaz Levy, IAI's EVP and General Manager and of Systems, Missiles & Space Group
