Major simulation project for an army in South East Asia

Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH has won a major simulation project from an Armed Forces in South East Asia. The Contract was awarded to the Rheinmetall Group’s Bremen-based subsidiary for the delivery of the state-of-the-art reconfigurable Driver Training Simulator. The project work commences in Y2019 and will be delivered in Y2022.

The state-of-the-art Driver Training Simulation System offers 27 reconfigurable driving simulators supporting a wide range of Class 2B, Class 3 and Class 4 vehicle types. A total of 6 vehicle variations are offered with roll-on/roll-off (RORO) concept to achieve specific vehicle cabin type. The motorcycle driving simulator will be equipped with Rheinmetall’s innovative virtual reality visualization, which offers immersive driving environment which can never be achieved by fixed projection system. The system comes with motion effect to support realistic on-road and off-road training conditions.

Long lasting Maintenance and Integrated Logistics Support contracts for the project will also be part of Rheinmetall’s responsibility.
